We are living in auspicious times! The T-Square between Saturn, Uranus and Pluto is rather fast chipping away at old structures and believes in our lives, and we just had the fireworks of a Lunar and Solar Eclipse a few weeks ago and the event of the Conscious Convergence (An event of the Mayan calendar) last weekend. All of these sign posts are helping us to understand and become really clear about our true passion for life and what it is all about.

We are asked to set our intentions and focus on contributing to others and the world we are living in. Each one of us is asked to be a vital part of the change of global consciousness, riding the exhilarating wave of higher consciousness and passion for life. You are the change you have been waiting for!

The last weekend was a poignant point in time to set your intentions for your personal growth and the changes you want to see in the world. All this is highlighted by the Full Moon in Aquarius coming weekend. A number of factors are prolonging the impact of this particular Full Moon, like Saturn re-entering Libra for good and activating the T-Square with Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto exactly on July 26. And Mars will be joining that already potent mix on July 29 with his Martian temperament. I will talk about that more in depth next week.

Sun Blazes into Leo

When we move month by month through the zodiac there is evolution happening through more inwardly directed energy alternating with more outwardly directed flow. The zodiac starts with Aries and the beginning of Spring; the waking up after Winters sleep to new life. In Taurus there is consolidation and manifestation of that life thrust followed by the light hearted Gemini exploring life in all its interesting and fascinating aspects and ideas. In Cancer we are immersed with inner life, with our emotions, our close friends and family. And then we are so ready again to step into the creative flow of our personal self expression and passion for life with the Sun in Leo.

Leo is full with the optimism of life energy, the eternal promise that no matter what life will continue in so many expressions. Have you ever seen a concrete road with a tiny crack in it and grass or another plant growing out of it? Or the tree growing directly out of a seemingly solid rock face at Big Sur? Isn’t it amazing?  

This coming month with Leo you have the universal winds in your back to help propelling you forward manifesting your desires. Desires are a good! They keep us going. They inspire us to action and creative self expression. They are the motor of life!

Saturn Steps into Libra July 21

Good news for Virgos. Whatever you have been struggling with for the last 2 years will undergo a resolution and integration with Saturn finally leaving you alone. Also if you have planets in Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius you have been called to inner work and clarity with opposition or squares of the taskmaster. Saturn is not an easy transit to experience because he is traditionally challenging us to face our deepest fears, have a close look at our boundaries, tighten the belt and go to work.

But the results of Saturn transits offer us so much more clarity and wisdom then we had before we started onto this inner journey into the twilight zone. Saturn makes it all worthwhile by bringing his light and focus into the essential. Saturn reveals inner strength and dormant capacities. Virgo is the sign for looking into details, organizing ourselves more efficiently and taking better care for our health. Therefore many of you had trouble with health problems catching up with you in the last 2 years. Whatever was not supportive for a healthy balance of a healthy soul in a healthy body had to be examined and was put to the test.

Saturn in Virgo

Whatever planets you have in Virgo needed your extra attention. For example I have my Jupiter in Virgo. For me it stimulated my research and interest of the connection between the unavoidable pollution of my body because of all the external onslaught of environmental toxins like pesticides, phthalates, plasticizer, formaldehyde, xenobiotics and different health challenges of mine.

I discovered new ways to deeply cleanse and unload toxicity with my Infra Red Sauna on a daily base in combination with coffee enemas and liver cleanses. I had nutritional and hormonal tests done to determine my level of hormones and crucial vitamins and found out many deficiencies in spite of a pretty healthy life style. I don’t eat much processed food of any kind, I eat plenty of raw, I juice, I cook mellow macro-biotic and I supplement, so it came as a surprise to me that I was still deficient in Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium and Progesterone.

You need to keep in mind that with daily sweating in the sauna I was loosing extra nutrients. I was aware of that and this was the reason for me to have it checked after being two month on the new regiment.

I also discovered the books by Dr. Sherry Rogers one of the few true benefactors in the health field for many people who were able to reclaim their health in spite of incurable diseases. Her basic recipe for any kind of health imbalance or disease is to restore well being by detoxifying with the Infra Red sauna and super nourishing the body with macro-biotic. Sounds easy right? Or another icon I found was Dr. Max Gerson who did miraculous cancer healing with people already 80 years ago. Same basic recipe: detoxification in his case with coffee enemas and super nutrition with raw juices and raw food.

With my Jupiter in Virgo I discovered new dimensions in the healing arts because I needed to find out about the bigger picture of my own health. It was very self empowering because I could make changes accordingly and took charge of my own health. I found deep satisfaction and excitement in those new possibilities growing out of these insights and my expanded view.

Full Moon in Aquarius July 25

Full Moons are culmination points of your emotional journey throughout all those different inner facets throughout the month of one lunar cycle. Full Moon means the uttermost reflection of the light giving energy of the Sun into deepest crevices of your inner world. This Full Moon in Aquarius is receiving the energy of the Sun in Leo.

Sun and Moon are the yin and yang, the male and the female force, the complementing forces in life. Sun as the life giving entity is radiating the force to create life and Moon is reflecting the energy, taking it into the inner world, sustaining and nourishing life.

Sun in astrology shows your self- identity, the inner place of strength you act from in your life. Sun is representing the inner and outer male figure. Sun is your self awareness and consciousness guiding you into choices and decisions. With the Sun moving through the whole zodiac throughout the year it gives you different mental perspectives onto life and guides your process of evolution as an individual and as whole humankind.

Moon in astrology on the other hand reflects consciousness evolving through your inner digestive process of your feelings and guides you more intuitively. I just watched Michael Moore’s documentary on Capitalism and was smacked in the face with how Pluto’s entry in Capricorn is already working its magic and how the shadow side of capitalism is being exposed. With Citigroup’s grand plan to take over the world I wondered whether they had an astrologer in their midst after hearing that their new plan was called a Plutonomy!!  I mean with Capricorn ruling capitalism does it get any more Pluto in Capricorn than that? One gives thanks to the cosmic powers that be for the T square to Saturn and Uranus giving us hope that perhaps there will be outcry and rebellion from the people (Uranus) and that these corporations will have to be held responsible and accountable (Saturn) and in fact after further investigation it seems the rebellion has begun.

Here is the bottom line as per Michael Moore.

In 2005 Citigroup sent a memo out to its wealthiest investors that the USA was no longer a democracy but that it was a Plutonomy a society controlled exclusively by and for the benefit of the top 1% of the population who have more wealth of the bottom 95% combined. This letter also goes on to add that they were the new aristocracy and that there was no end in sight for the gravy train they were on.

Even more shockingly apropos with the Saturn/Uranus dance, Michael goes on to add:

According to Citigroup the most potent and short term threat would be societies demanding a more equitable share of the wealth, in other words the peasants might revolt.

He goes on to talk about fairness in the workplace and people who have  set up businesses where each worker owns a part of the business, not a share of the business, they actually own it.  “Democracy in the workplace” he calls it, a beautiful description of Saturn in Libra if ever I heard it as Libra is all about people and fairness, and Saturn represents business.This is just the beginning of the types of things I imagine will be seeing over the next few years while Saturn is in Libra.

The empty leg of the t-square that will be filled at the lunar eclipse with the Sun and Mercury in cancer is asking us to balance this lopsided situation by looking at our family values and tending to the nurturance of ourselves and of those around us.

The lines between corporations and government have been blurred and we have lost all regulation. A congressmen stated during a congressional hearing: “Why aren’t we asking wall street to clean up its own mess? Why aren’t we helping American families with bankruptcy? Why aren’t we reducing debt for main street instead of wall street? Is this the United States of Congress or the board of directors of Goldman Sacks.”

This speaks to the Moon/Pluto in Capricorn and Sun/Mercury in Cancer polarity of the cardinal cross which is featured this week at the partial lunar eclipse on June 26th.  Clearly we have been leaning too heavily on the Capricorn energies of success, material focus, organizational control and have neglected the Cancer side of the equation.  With the Sun and Mercury being the faster moving and personal bodies of this configuration we need to restore the balance and bring in the more feminine and yin energies of nurturance, family, emotional connectedness, awareness and respect for mother nature and humanity.

Interesting to note that Michael Moore has natal Moon conjunct Mars at 3 degrees of Capricorn and thus this is very personal for him as Pluto is currently conjunct this point and he is emotionally(moon) driven to fight (mars) against the corruption and power (Pluto) the corporations (in Capricorn) in America are wielding to the detriment of the people and the earth.  This eclipse is also hitting the US Venus in Cancer implying challenges around our core values and relationships will be highlighted and perhaps emotions will be stirred enough to take action to protect our most valuable assets…. our  humanity and our planet.

Warm rays of sunlight stream down from a white sun lazily sailing across an afternoon sky.  Ripples of water gently flow across a quiet lake after a fishing line dips beneath its placid surface.  Birds share the latest news as they languidly work their way through springtime chores.  The shoreline is rich with lush emerald fauna, stretching as far as the eye can see.  The monkey mind wants to interrupt this splendor with its endless litany of problems, incessant chatter, worries about the future concocted with every imaginable worse case scenario and their attendant reactions, and its ultimate weapon, your story, the one about what’s wrong with your life.  But on this long, glorious May afternoon, your canoe drifts effortlessly with the mild currents.  Your soul is enraptured by the symphony being performed by the soft breezes through rustling leaves and the songs of cranes, hummingbirds and bluejays.  One casual glance at the 200-year-old pine trees majestically reaching heavenward, and you are reminded of your truth.  You are not your problems.  You are not your income.  You are not your story.  You are not your relationship, your workplace, your issues nor any of your labels.  You are eternal.  You are unnamable.  You are love, and you are safe and sound.

On April 19th at 9:30 P.M. PST the Sun enters the sign of the bull, Taurus.  From then until May 20th you are granted an all-access pass to the voice of spirit, centeredness and serenity.  Supported by Saturn retrograding back through fellow earth sign Virgo, Pluto churning backward through the zodiac’s other earth sign Capricorn and Mercury retrograding in Taurus, this solar cycle is the ultimate grounding tool and an excellent time to strengthen business, financial and career endeavors.  With Jupiter and Uranus spending their last days in dreamy Pisces until late summer, prescience also abounds.  A Saturn Uranus opposition close to the April 28th full moon challenges the tranquility, yet this solar cycle is no less than a Cosmic meditation on security.

The bull stops here.  Ruled by beauty seeking Venus, Taurus veers decidedly toward the luxurious side of life.  Perhaps the most physical of signs, earthy Taurus experiences reality through the senses. Consequently, its world is often filled with the most exquisite objects of pleasure, sensuality and comfort. We’re talking high-thread count, velvety dark chocolate, and typically a handsome portfolio here.  This year however, Taurus’ opulent tastes will be curtailed by Saturn in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn.  The last time stern Saturn transited Virgo, the real estate market crashed, bank bailouts began and the current recession got underway.  Back in the meticulous earth sign of Virgo until July, lesson baring Saturn will again be encouraging fiscal austerity and restraint.  Ruthless Pluto in conservative Capricorn will echo the call to realistic and conscious financial planning and ethical business practices.  Add a Mercurial review of money to the mix via its retrograde in materialistic Taurus, and you have a formula ripe for more banking and financial reform, publicly and privately.  This substantial earth sign alliance is not here to crush caviar dreams per se.  But irrational exuberance isn’t coming back on its watch either.  This Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto combination is all about building, values and responsibility.  It will support sound foundations, reward hard work and give the needed stamina to reach worthy goals.

Contrary to popular myth, Taurus was not inserted into the zodiac to consternate Aries natives nor to unhinge Geminis.  Taurus is a fixed earth sign placed between the two to anchor Aries passions and to solidify our values so that we might be “on message” when Gemini arrives.  Rarely exceeding the speed limit, it’s the Cosmic point at which we can pause, listen to the ageless wisdom available, make decisions that feel “right” on a cellular level and begin deliberately moving toward our aims.  Shortly into this year’s solar Gemini cycle, on the full moon of May 27th, Uranus enters Aries.  The last time Uranus transited Aries was 1927-1934, when the stock market crashed, the Great Depression ensued and Hitler rose to power.  During that transit Pluto was traveling through security oriented Cancer.  This time Pluto is in Cancer’s opposite sign, Capricorn.  As I’ve mentioned previously, the last time Pluto went through Capricorn was 1762-1778, when the American War for Independence began.  In addition to these history-making Uranus and Pluto squaring transits, the summer of 2010 will feature what astrologers call a T-cross.  The term refers to an alignment of several planets, in this case the influential outer ones, squaring one another at precise 90 degree angles.  Early June through mid August will be the time of greatest activity, and predictions abound as to how these harsh angles will play out.  What the current Taurus cycle offers is a sense of certainty.  

Mercury rules our thinking and will be retrograde in patient Taurus until May 11th.  According to author Julia Cameron, it takes 90 days for the brain to groove a new neurological pattern.  During this retrograde we can review our ideas about security and our inner-dialogue about insecurity.  A Taurus Mercury retrograde further suggests that we can sprout some new neural pathways and perhaps adopt new grounding practices.  Also assisting us access an enlightening perspective are Jupiter and Uranus now at the end of their Pisces transits.  Before they move into boisterous, provocative Aries and those intense T-squares, they give us a little more time to connect with our inner musician, writer, painter or poet.  Finding a psychological safe space now might serve us well when the atmosphere intensifies this summer.  Gardening, chanting, hiking and playing a musical instrument are all excellent keys to Pisces’ peace and Taurus’ incredible centering power.  And they can serve as touchstones for the times ahead.

On April 26th our newly found chill out practice may get a test run.  On that day erratic Uranus will directly oppose staunch Saturn.  Because two of the large outer planets are involved in this confrontation, its influence will be felt for a few weeks on either side of the exact date.  With an added full Scorpio moon on the 28th, we’re likely to have a strong opportunity to try out those new grounding techniques.  The last series of Uranus Saturn oppositions occurred from 1964-1966, a time of enormous political and social turmoil and transformation. This current set of oppositions began on Election Day 2008 and will end on July 26th near another very powerful full moon.  No matter how dramatic the news or how tumultuous the times it reflects may seem, our perspective is what makes the biggest difference in how we experience these events.  Taurus comes to help us plant our feet firmly into the terrain of eternal knowing.  Deeply rooted in our connection to all that is, we see the transitory nature of the rest.  Through the bull we are reminded of our resourcefulness, and our world is once again made calm, sturdy and steady.

Over time I have published several articles about the bigger picture of the celestial heavens then possible with just the discussion of the weekly astrological updates. The slow moving transits of the outer planets are the one who are mirroring the fundamental changes in society and can help us gain deeper understanding and personal alignment with what is going on. We are part of this transformation and we are the transformation! I believe we are living in a most exciting time and will be witnessing a major change in the overall state of consciousness towards a higher level of oneness and evolution in our humanness. And I am very excited about this!

My interest in writing about astrology is the potential of raising our consciousness which is the antidote to fear and depression. We are living in a time of information overload at our fingertips on the keyboard of our computers. We need to ask the right questions to get onto the journey for the right answer. I say that because there is no objective truth to anything. There is only our very limited, personal subjective place of understanding. New Moon in Pisces

This New Moon in Pisces is especially powerful with its closeness to Uranus and Mercury. It will be influenced by new ideas and understanding with intuitive guidance.

New Moon and Full Moon are turning and culmination points with almost magical potential in the waning and waxing of the Moon throughout her approximately 28 days cycle. The New Moon is a new beginning, it is the time to consciously plant the kind of seed we want to see flowering in the time to come. It is also worthwhile to consider where the New Moon in happening in your chart. That is the area in your life in which you can set new intentions and take steps accordingly.

For me this New Moon is in my 12th house and gives me a chance to deepen my inner spiritual connection as well as heal and detoxify myself in deeper layers. Some weeks back I shared with you some thoughts about detoxifying with a Far Infrared sauna program and colonics. Since then I have embarked on a program of studying the books of Dr. Sherry Rogers and implementing some of her suggestions. I am deeply committed to make my physical and spiritual health a priority in my life right now.

I am so lucky to have a dear girl friend who is my buddy on this journey to share my thoughts, insights and frustrations. Teaming up with somebody keeps you committed, on track and is just more fun.

Mercury Enters Aries

When Mercury moves into Aries we are mentally ready for some implementation and action to take. Aries energy needs to move and take form in some ways. We feel inspired and motivated to go after our needs and desires.

Spring Equinox with the Sun Entering Aries

The beginning of the new cycle of growth and life is the Spring Equinox and it starts the astrological year. Aries is the energy of new beginnings, fresh starts and commitment to life. We feel hopeful and receive more life giving sun energy to replenish and rejuvenate after a long, dark winter. Often we feel like spring cleaning our house, decluttering the piles and corners in our home, setting new intentions for our physical health and making new plans for the year.

Have a look which of your houses is harboring Aries in your horoscope and you will have more of an idea where you want to put your deep cleaning and renewing energies towards. Also take note where your Mars as the ruler of Aries is located. For example my Mars is in Gemini in the third house which indicates a great time for research, new learning and implementation. I am devoting at least one hour every morning to studying Sherry Roger’s books about taking charge about health and detoxifying.

The transiting Mars is in the beginning of Leo, a sign of fire and creative expression. The house that Mars is in and the aspects this mighty warrior is having with personal planets might give you another piece of understanding the changing of your initiative energy and focus of your will power. Living on Maui and being part of the Civilian Emergency Response Team on the island I had an exciting Saturday with the big tsunami threatening our islands. After all it wasn’t so bad, our harbor and airport which is the lifeline of our island and connection to the outer world with food and gas was spared of major destruction. Yeah…somebody has built the airport close to the water to make sure a bad tsunami really cuts us off.

It was an amazing feeling driving down the hill to my place of assembly to wait for orders of the Civil Defense Department. Even if I have been trained how to respond to emergency and disasters – a little- it seemed like those things always happen to others in China or Chile. I have never been touched by total destruction myself in my life. My adrenals were working over time and I was prayer that we will be spared by the worst, which we were thank God.

It made me realize how interconnected we all are and we are all facing amazing and challenging changes and forces beyond our control. And beside the celestial dance of the planets representing the ruling forces of the universe I am commenting on every week, I thought it was time to take a deeper look this week into the bigger picture of what the heck is going on. It is called the big T-square!

There is much talk in the astrological community about the T- square between the planets of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto because of its deep and transforming impact we feel it already has for all of us.

The Saturn opposition to Uranus with 5 exact contacts

•    on 11/04/08 at 19 Virgo (Saturn) -Pisces (Uranus)
•    on 2/5/09 at 20 Virgo-Pisces
•    on 09/15/09 at 25 Virgo-Pisces
•    on 4/24/2010 at 29 Virgo-Pisces
•    on 7/26/2010 at 1 Libra-Aries

This will be intermingled with a square to Pluto who is in early Capricorn and in the process of squaring transiting Saturn three times.

•    The first square occurred on Nov. 15, 2009, at 1 Libra
•    The second was on Jan. 31, 2010, at 4 Libra.
•    The third is on Aug. 21, 2010 at 3 Libra.

There is a global impact of all this which shows as a major cultural turning point, challenge and start into an unraveling of structures in our society we all have dreaded since the financial markets meltdown started and the economy started to fall apart on us. It has become obvious that the manipulation of the economy for the advantage of a few has started an avalanche and revelation of dysfunction of our corporate world and politics. But it is also the environmental issues and earth changes we are not able to ignore anymore with El Niño, earthquakes, melting of the ice at the poles, changes in the magnetic field and weather pattern around the world.

This has a very personal impact on each one of us as an individual and we are called to action with adjustments in our personal lives. We are living in a time of tremendous potential of change for the better because the old is obviously not working and each one of us is called to be part of that transformation of the Phoenix out of Ashes.

What Can You Do for Your Own Balance?

Wherever the early degrees of Libra and Capricorn fall in your chart and the connecting aspects to your planets you will feel personally challenged and called to grow into more clarity (Saturn) while building and re-negotiating your place in relation to others (Libra), allow rebirth (Pluto) of a new YOU with the dissolving of old beliefs and values (Uranus).

Consciousness is the key to keep your own balance and works as an antidote to fear and anxieties. You can find ways to focus on solutions instead of problems, you can use proper tools helping to raise your personal frequency and align with the highest potential of the astrological constellations.

Because Capricorns are so driven, self-disciplined, and controlling, it is hard for them to relax into the benevolence of life, trusting the flow of life and its ultimate goodness. Due to the rule of Saturn, there is an element of contraction and fear that urges to be continually in action and in control. With Saturn it is important to take time out of your busy lives and allow time for relaxation, introspection, and inner peace. This is even more important with Saturn transits because they challenge our status quo and force us into introspection to gain clarity to enable us to take clear action and make enlightened choices.

I have suggested the Herkimer Diamond before because it is one of the most amazing gemstones able to support our inner growth towards balance between the polarities because it is a double terminated crystal.
