Today we will discuss the planetary backdrop for September 14 and 15, 2009. The discussion is also applicable whenever you have those planetary constellations in your personal chart.

The position of the Moon in the Lunar astrology is always setting the emotional tone for the two and a half days she is in one astrological sign per month. Following the Moon positions with awareness gives us options and choices for our life. Instead of just reacting to outer circumstances and promptings we can attune ourselves with the time quality of the moment and move in harmony with that flow.

Moon in Leo

After the Moon passed through Cancer with heightened sensitivity and focus onto our own little world and family, we are now nourished and ready to step into the world, show up with who we are. Leo is the sign of the kings and queens, the rulers of the world, of people who are willing to step into their power and express their own creative individuality. Leo people are generous with their affections and love to play. The heart is the seat of love and being the middle chakra between the three upper and three lower ones,  it is attributed to the sign of Leo. It is the heart where we balance ourselves. Without love and the sense of connectedness there is no joy or happiness. Love is a basic need! If babies are not touched and hold with love, they will die. The level of opening of our heart is directly related to the level of joy we are able to feel.

I often hear from singles that they long for a loving partner in their live and there is great suffering in missing one. The significance of love in our life is obvious. So what can we do if we do not have the fulfillment of such a relationship?

Love is Guiding You

With Moon in Leo we have the strong support of courageously daring to expose ourselves in new ways. We can find new ways to be the love we are longing for. We can pray to find unlimited ways to be love, give love, do loving things and let love be the guiding force for decisions in our life. Whenever we are faced with a difficult decision we can ask ourselves the question – what would love do? This is a whole new platform to live your life from. I want to invite you for at least these three days to do this and watch what is happening in your life.
I promise you if you keep doing this, you will find that partner you are longing for and it will change the quality of the relationship you are in.

Flowering of the Heart
When the heart is opening, the intelligence of the heart is guiding the mind into proper actions and will create a joyful and successful life. We have been deeply conditioned with consumerism as a way to get joy and happiness and we think it will come from that thing we are yearning for. With all the economical challenges we are experiencing we better learn to find success and joy in different and new ways.

In my travels in India I was always amazed to see that so many people seemed to be much happier then in the western world.  I saw women sitting in the dirt at the side of the street in Kerala hammering stones into smaller pieces for road building all day long and they had a smile on their face, waving to me.

The flowering of the heart aligns the mind and raises our state of consciousness. Waking up to our highest potential or self realization is centered on the flowering of the heart into a perception of oneness. We all had moments of experience with that. We know enough to be moved towards deepening that experience.

Exact Saturn Uranus Opposition on Tuesday
This Saturn Uranus Opposition will last in its impact for this whole week. We have talked about this connection before and commented on the radical changes of structures in society in general, in the government and the economy. We are living in times of big changes and astrology is one way of finding meaning and alignment in it.

The Saturn/ Uranus opposition is one of the culprits for the changes we feel have been forced on us. There will be 5 oppositions with these two planets with the last one in 2015. The first one started off with a bang on September 15, 2008 and it was also in square to Pluto and accompanied by a Full Moon. Our economy started cycling down the drain and revealed long inherent problems. Also the presidential election was under the influence of these two, paving the way for a historical change and hope for true leadership, electing the first president of color in this country. The need for change was so obvious and the hope for a better future high. There was a global celebration around the planet testifying to new faith and hope for a better future. Let us have a look at both planets and what they represent! Read more on my Astrological Signs Weather Report & Healing Gems Blog.

Venus Neptune Opposition
Venus, the Goddess of Love and Neptune, the Mystical Dreamer are firing each other up with this opposition. The shadow side and challenge in this connection is the tendency to project our ideals and dreams onto somebody without discrimination of accuracy. We might just perceive what we want to see instead of the reality of that person. That might end in the feeling of betrayal and disappointment down the road when disillusion happens.

But the beautiful potential of this connection is an enhancement in the area of relationship and deepening of our ability to love and open our hearts as we discussed above. Unconditional love has to begin within ourselves, learning to let go resistance and self hate. Allowing the present moment with what I, can be learned and practiced. If you have childhood trauma and wounds like most of us, some inner work needs to be done to heal and nourish the heart. Spiritual oriented therapy might help you in that process. You can also invite grace into your life through prayers, with an Oneness Blessing or you can meditate and balance your heart with the healing frequency of gemstones.

Self-Love and Rose Quartz
Rose Quartz is one of the most feminine, gentlest stones for the heart and has a very sweet energy. It is very nourishing for all themes related to the heart. The unconditional love of the archetypal mother is conveyed in its touch and establishes our own ability to love ourselves as who we are without judgment or self criticizing.

Its astrological signature is that of Moon, Venus, Mars and Neptune. You can see why it will be a good stone for this time quality for the Venus opposition Neptune. The astrological signature of a stone is created by the color, chemical composition and crystal structure a stone has. It will then be like a homeopathic remedy and energy pattern that vibrates harmoniously in a specific planetary frequency and can help alignment with it.

The goddess Venus adds a sense of value and self appreciation to the self love which is both the foundation for our ability to love others. Love is a state of consciousness which starts inside of us and when it is achieved, all out there is loved as well. It deepens our awareness for the oneness of spirit and the divine we are all part of.

I think we all need to have Rose Quartz in our life. I have a big chunk of it with my orchid flower and it makes a beautiful still life! And sometimes I take a tumbled stone with me to bed, having it under my pillow for a good night sleep.

If you liked my astrological ramblings I invite you to find more on my Astrological Signs Weather Report & Healing Gems Blog for a regular update on the universal flow in the heavens. I hope you enjoyed reading about the Rose Quartz which is a very beautiful gem to help the flowering of the heart.

As you can tell I am very passionate about the abilities of the healing gemstones as healing agents for our journey. I have even written a book about it and the connection with astrology: Jewelry and Gems for Self-Discovery: Choosing Gemstones that Delight the Eyes & Strengthen the Soul. In my book I teach you how to read a chart and recognize your main subjects and challenges. If you know where your challenge and friction is, you can then take steps to support or balance yourself with gemstones, if that is something that appeals to you.

I hope you enjoyed my article, aloha and many blessings, Shakti.

Article Source:http://www.articlesbase.com/astrology-articles/moon-in-leo-saturn-uranus-opposition-venus-neptune-opposition-are-the-highlights-of-the-day-1231914.html

The Moon position in your chart is showing you your spot of emotional tenderness and where gentleness and self care is needed. The Moon is the mother and the child, the nourishing principle we need for our survival and the helpless inner or outer child in need of care.

When the transiting Moon goes through the whole zodiac during one month, it will hit positions which are in challenging angles to your personal Moon position. These are the times when you might feel most deeply impacted and emotional. In the Lunar astrology we watch the Moon with its different flavor wandering through the different signs, triggering different themes in its wake. When the transiting Moon is in conjunction, Square or opposition to your Moon you will feel your inner world, feelings, sense of security and the need for belonging stirred up. There is an excellent article by Philip Levine I strongly recommend about The Lunation Cycle addressing the differences of the Moon position in her unfolding from a New Moon to a Full Moon and back.

In the Lunar Astrology for the coming month I like to take the perspective of becoming aware of the NEED each Moon position will bring into the open field of our consciousness related to her position.

Moon Swims into Cancer

Today we start to take a look at the NEEDS the Moon in Cancer will touch upon. Moon is at surely at home in Cancer. Cancer represents our home, our family of origin; it is a water sign and has the most nourishing, feminine quality of all. The deep, deep need for a safe home, reliability and commitment to feel comfortable is part of our survival instinct and should not be taken lightly. A need is not just a desire, something we would like to have. A need is absolutely essential to a healthy life and survival; we will do anything for what we need.

Moon Mars Conjunction and Opposition to Pluto

The Mars, the fiery warrior is taking up his flaming sword and is suddenly surrounded by steaming waters. That will promote bubbling emotions, insecurity and maybe a feeling of righteousness or deficiency. Mars is not at his best in Cancer to begin with and now has to deal with extra Moon energy.

When the Moon moves through her opposition with Pluto, another layer of ignorance of our needs might be pealed away. Pluto is a tough taskmaster, forcing us to confront helplessness with the outer forces in life. Pluto wants to bring us to the place of accepting what is and a deep let go of fighting, struggle and the illusion of control. With this short lived transit we get a little shake to wake up and take responsibility for our need for security and what that means for us. We need each other for comfort, belonging, sharing stories, holding, learning, witnessing each others growth, giving and the experience of oneness and love.

Living alone is a Disaster for the Inner Child

I believe the single living reality for so many of us in our western society is very damaging and contradictory for that deep need of belonging. Throughout history humankind has lived in tribal or family unites to ensure survival. Just in the last 80 years it has changed to a life style of being single and having our own apartment man or woman. Even if we might think that it is a step forward into more autonomy and freedom for the individual, I was always wondering about the loneliness of singles and the loss of connection. I am not saying that it is wrong to choose to live alone, but I want to question if it is really fulfilling and nourishing our inner need for belonging and each other.

If you are living alone you might use the chance this transit is offering and inquire into your inner need for love and connection. Do you feel you belong somewhere? Do you have a family or group of friends around you belong to? Does somebody really care for you, love you? Is somebody there for you if you really need help?

If you answered any of these questions with “no” you want to examine your life style and where your priorities have been, creating the situation you are facing. When you have clarity and take responsibility for where you are, you can then take steps for change. If you feel that nobody in your life cares for you, you might want to find somebody you care for. If you don’t feel supported in your life, go find somebody to support. Give what you want to receive or need! Find a way for yourself to connect with your inner well of love, the Divine Mother or the nourishing nature all around us on Mother Earth.

A wonderful way to change your state of consciousness is meditation or a walk in nature. Many of us living in cities might not have untouched nature but there are always pockets of green even in a city. Find a tree to sit under or special spot for yourself in the park next to you. You can also bring nature to you by using the healing and balancing energies of gemstones by placing them on top of you lying on your back. I am a Taurus and I love gemstone meditations as a very comfortable, soothing, energizing, balancing, uplifting time of rest. You can always just use a quartz crystal on your third eye and focus on your perception. A special stone you could use for soothing and uplifting your heart is the Apophyllite.

The Apophyllite

– Apophyllite is a very rare, light green, four-sided, diamond-faced crystal found in only one place on the Earth, in Poona, India.

I love this stone because of its unique generous qualities for the heart. In its natural crystallized form it can be set into beautiful pendants and worn right over the heart. This is a stone for the heart chakra and connects us to the Christ consciousness and love in its highest form.

This energy is focused in our heart and connects us with the quality of compassion as a result of realizing who we really are: eternal spiritual beings of love, experiencing ourselves as humans on this earthly plane.

The light color of Apophyllite is soft and gentle, almost like a fragrance, and its energy very subtle, soothing, and expanding. The heart’s longing is to experience communion and oneness with God, with life in all its facets. It is the longing of the soul that melts the shell around the heart and heals its wounds, and compassion is the natural outcome of this process.

The planet Chiron represents the wounded healer. Chiron shows us our deepest hurt on the astrological chart.   He shows us where we need to heal ourselves and where we can become a healer for others as a result of our own experience. Chiron and Neptune are hand in hand, joining their energies together to help us experience the highest truth of love and compassion: this is what we call “Christ consciousness.”

Apophyllite also may bring up emotions that are not in line with the Christ consciousness. It may work as an accelerator of spiritual growth by helping us to cleanse ourselves of grief, anger, jealousy, and fear, all the so-called negative emotions, by realigning ourselves with the truth that we are divine consciousness.

This crystal is one of the most powerful healers for the heart and thus it is a stone for healers. It is very beneficial to wear this beautiful, unique gem over the heart, or for meditation you may put it on your third eye or on your heart chakra. It goes very well together with the Ruby or Spinel, which add other aspects of the heart.—(taken from my book : Jewelry and Gems for Self-Discovery: Choosing Gemstones That Delight the Eye & Strengthen the Soul © 2008 by Shakti Carola Navran. Saturn in Virgo Quincunx to Neptune in Aquarius

The Sun makes his first quincunx connection with Neptune on September 12, 2009, the first out of three. The second one is on May 2 and the third June 27, 2010. This is one of the constellations which will fuel the enormous changes we are in at this point in time of our evolution as humans on earth. Our physical security is challenged and everybody is confronted with the changes seemingly happening upon us.

Saturn in the earthy sign of Virgo is representing the physical realm and meeting the metaphysical, translucent, dreamy qualities of Neptune in Aquarius. We have to change our definition of self as a lonely rider on the road, doing the best we can to get by. We need to redefine ourselves to a self identity of oneness and connectedness as humans and act from that place for the greater good. Neptune is the mystical teacher who reaches out with unconditional love and a high level of consciousness. Neptune is also the spiritual teacher who guides us towards our own inner direct connection with the divine.

The Longing for the Divine

Our longing for the divine has created many different forms of religions or spiritual traditions. For me it does not matter what form anybody prefers as their way to connect with God as long as it works for them. I have been brought up Christian and had that inner connection more or less all my life. The times when there was less of it was a source of deep pain and dissatisfaction with life for me and kept me going and searching.  For me the connection and experience with the Oneness Blessing and the Oneness Movement has brought unimaginable grace into my life.

The Oneness Blessing is an energetic transmission of grace which will instantly deepen your state, your connection to love and feelings of peace. It is a little similar as Reiki as it is given by the touch of hand. But it is not so much focused onto health as Reiki, it is more geared towards raising consciousness to an experience of oneness and the flowering of the heart.

If you liked my astrological musings I invite you to find more on my Astrological Signs Weather Report & Healing Gems Blog for a regular update on the universal flow in the heavens. I hope you enjoyed to read about the Apophyllite which is a very rare gem to help the flowering of the heart.

I love astrology because of its elegance and practicality! You don’t even have to believe into it, to take advantage of it.

My practical approach as a Taurus is:
Try it out, see if it serves you and then decide if you want to deepen your relation with astrology. In my personal experience with over 31 years of astrology in my life and those of my clients the value is beyond mere believe. You can test it and see how it applies in your life. By doing so you turn your attention inwards, learn more about yourself and gain more awareness and compassion for your predicament as a human being incarnated. It might help you to relax more into who you are, with all the parts you don’t like about yourself and maybe even love yourself more unconditionally.

I often watched that relaxation happening to clients when I name the struggles and seemingly non- complementary aspects of their personality. There is some magic in facing and naming the truth! Not only do we have more choices then about how to deal with the situation, but we also come to accept what is and the present moment.

I accept where I am and then focus on where I rather want to go! Like Abraham-Hicks is saying: “Worrying is using your imagination to create something you don’t want.”  I use astrology and especially the Lunar Astrology to imagine the best and align myself with the universal forces and take action along those lines.

Lunar Astrology

Following the lunar astrology with the Moon moving through the signs of the zodiac is one way of fine tuning my perception of my emotional journey throughout the month. It brings me in touch with the impermanence of life and especially of my emotions. It helps me to not take myself so serious and adjust my conscious thoughts to the highest level of the potential of each sign.

When the Moon is entering her home sign Cancer, our mood turns more inwards. It is a waning Moon of only 28 % of the Full Moon. We might feel more vulnerable because we are more open and in contact with our feelings. This weekend is a good time to spend time with your family, call your parents, and celebrate your connectedness and love.

The Inner Home of Cancer

Cancer is the sign of home and family; the place where we feel connected by our history and blood ties and hopefully by love. Cancer represents our inner and outer home, our inner roots, and our inner emotional foundations. What do we need to feel safe and loved? How much closeness or nourishment do we need from others? What kind of an outer home and family have we created because of that?

Moon in Cancer
will show us our emotional needs and desires. It might also make us vulnerable to feel the places in us where we have been wounded, abused and not nourished in our childhood. We might carry those hurts and conditionings with us maybe all our lives and once in a while, like with Moon in Cancer, it will be more accessible for conscious reflection, awareness and because of that for some degree of healing.
Let yourself feel your own gentleness, needs and find that loving, compassionate place for yourself and others in your life.

Moon in Cancer is one of those times when we have more access to that inner world!
Remember the journey always starts from where you are. Feeling that inner world with awareness is the first step to healing and growth of any kind. So let us have a look what else is going on in the heavens with Mercury and Saturn in Virgo.

Mercury/Saturn Conjunction in Virgo: The Analyzer and Organizer

The sun is in Virgo in August 23–Sept 22. The ruling planet is Mercury, the element is earth and the gender is feminine.

By September the summer Sun is fading, and crops are ready to be harvested. Virgos have none of the fiery dominance of their summer predecessor, the Lion. They are reserved people who don’t boast about themselves or behave flamboyantly. They are quietly reliable, attending to the smallest details of any project in an organized way, making them good lawyers, doctors, and scientists. That trait can be carried to a fault when they fail to see the bigger picture. They are more intelligent and analytical than emotional, which serves them well in complex tasks but may prevent them from establishing deep relationships. Virgos are practical people, good with their hands, and combining those qualities with their attention to detail they could excel in professions as jewelers and dentists.

With Mercury in its own sign
and in conjunction with the tough taskmaster Saturn, they will give us a very literal minded view of the world, focusing onto the concrete details, trying to make sense out of it, putting things into perspective. It also might make us aware of fears and anxieties we have buried.

This conjunction might serve you well for your studies and dealing with the facts of life. But it might also narrow the focus of your mind into too much micromanagement and you might loose the connection with your dreams and intentions and get lost along the way with actions without inner guidance.

This conjunction is helpful in many ways to get concrete things done, but you need your inner connection to the divine and your bigger vision in your life to feel juiced and joyful about where you are and where you want to go. Remember your journaling to touch into that inner place to renew your spirit and strengthen your heart!

The Leo Sun in Opposition with Neptune

And the good news is we still have the optimisms of the Leo energy at our hands. And the opposition with Neptune, the dreamer and visionary will be serving us to stay connected to that inner world of creativity and nourishment for our soul. I love Neptune and how he always manages to fuel our dreams and our hopes for a better, more loving life.

Astrology Touches into the Mystery of Life
Here is part of an email I got this morning from a good friend Yolanda who is also an astrologer and Diamond Heart Approach teacher. It was a response to finding out and reading my blog for the first time. It is so poetic that I want to share it with you!

“It is such a good way of life, to follow the stars and our inter-related connections with the energies of our solar system and beyond into the bigger galaxies. So you have truly turned into being a teacher of astrology. Congratulations!

I often feel the Stillness of the vast Black luminous Grand Sky that our planet is moving in so smoothly and mysteriously. It makes me think of the perfect womb, the Grand Dark Sky and the womb being our planet, our home. What are we together birthing?  And on the day time, the Grand Light Sky seems so perfectly matching the Living Day Light, as we know it in our Diamond teaching…”

A good Life!

Yes, it is a good life we got. And with it the chance to create ourselves anew every moment if we are willing to let go of old, rigid structures in our mind and embrace new thoughts and beliefs. The truth as we know it is only our truth of the moment, nothing more. There is only our very personal angle of perception of the truth. And if we are aware of that we will have an easier time to accept change in our life without struggle and pain; instead welcome it as part of the big mystery.

For me astrology is an open invitation to understand more about the truth in the universal flow and use it to my advantage for a fuller, more successful and joyful life.

If you like my astrological musings I invite you to find more on my Astrological Signs Weather Report & Healing Gems Blog for a regular update on the universal flow in the heavens. I am also very passionate about the abilities of the healing gemstones to help to align and balance our flow. In my book Jewelry and Gems for Self-Discovery: Choosing Gemstones that Delight the Eyes & Strengthen the Soul I teach you about astrology and how to read your own chart. If you know where your challenges are, you can then take steps to support or balance yourself with gemstones, if that is something that appeals to you.

I hope you enjoyed this post, aloha and many blessings, Shakti.
