An Explanation Of What Is Zi Wei Dou Shu

What is Zi Wei Dou Shu? It is a form of astrology, in fact it is Chinese astrology which as the name gives away is used mainly in China but in some other countries also. It is not as widely used as Ba Zi (another form) but it’s benefits are that it has a wider insight into a persons character and what they will be able to achieve if they use their full potential.

With Ba Zi the information of when you were born as well as time of birth is separated into pillars, there are four pillars that each have an earthly branch and as well as this they each have a heavenly stem. This is how a persons current attitude, value and other characteristics are determined. With Zi Wei Dou Shu the readings are taken by Chinese lunar age and also the time, date, year and month that you are born. The information of this is then taken and put into 12 palaces. The palaces also contain a stem and branch but as well as this the palaces contain a number of stars, altogether there are over 100 of them.

The names of the two schools of practice are Ze Wei Dou Shu and also the school of four changes.

Although they may at first glance seem the same the main difference between the two is that the three harmony school has a lot more importance when it comes to the stars that reside in each palace as well as the combination they have in relation to the other stars in different palaces. The school of the four forces emphasis more on the forces of which there are 4 that are within each palace. The four force school interferes less with stars of lesser value. Within this school the stars used are usually between 18 and 30.

Each system has both strengths as well as weaknesses, but to knowledgeable experienced astrologer a lot of things about a person are able to be revealed.
