Numerology and Occult

What Mumbai’s future holds in store????

Man from the beginning of time has been seeking answers for all his problems. There is no country in this world where some form of divination is not practiced. Chinese practice Fengshui to balance negative energies, I-ching a divination tool to find answers for problems. Europeans have divination tools like Tarot and sources say it originated in Egypt. Germans practice Rune stone readings, Tasseography (Tea cup reading or Cofee cup reading) is practiced all over European countries Crystal ball gazing, Pendulum Dowsing and Scrying are some of the few. Palmistry of course is the most commonly known and interesting divining tool. Indians have many divination tools Raman Shastra, Face reading and of course the more scientific Astrology and Vastu Shastra.

But many are not aware of Numerology, Cheiro was the master of Numerology and Numerology is also called Cheiromancy. As per prediction done by Cheiromancy I found the following result.

Mumbai has faced turbulent times after its name was changed in 1995. According to Cheiro’s Numerology. ‘Mumbai’ name leads to the calculation of No. 9.

Number 9 is considered a number of Mars. Mars is the planet associated with temper, anger, aggressiveness and war. People whose number adds upto Number 9 are generally short tempered, impulsive they will usually make lot of enemies and cause strife and opposition wherever they maybe. They will also be wounded or in extreme case be killed in warfare.

Number 9 are prone to accidents from fire and explosions and rarely get through life without injury. As a general rule they under go many operation under surgeon’s life. Mr. Jackie Chan’s name adds upto Number 9.

As per my knowledge Mumbai has faced many tragedies on the Date 26th  initially it was 26th July 2005 when it was affected by flood and now its 26th November 2008 when its affected by terrorist attacks. Number 26 adds upto to No.8 and Number 8 is the number of Planet Saturn. Saturn and Mars are sworn enemies they both clash with each other and thus Mumbai gets affected. Bombings on Western Railway Train on 11-07-2006 when added equals to single number 8  again number of enemy saturn.

Bombay added upto the Number 17. Number 17 was a very lucky number it was a spiritual number. The person or place associated with this number will rise in spirit to the trials and difficulties of his/her life or career. It is considered a number of immortality and that the person’s name lives after him. It’s a fortunate number if it works out in relation to future events. Mr. Amitabh Bachhan’s name adds upto Number 17.

When the city was named Bombay it was growing in all aspects especially it was lucky for the Bollywood Film Industry since Bombay adds upto single number Number 6 and number 6 represent Planet Venus. Planet Venus is planet for glamour, glitz, creativity and art.

According to Tarot Cards the coming year for Mumbai will be much better. The wheel of fortune turns over and major change is seen. Mumbai will bounce back with lot of unity and strength. Lot of energy and exurbence is foreseen. Mumbaities will definitely move away from the tiring situations.

According to Chinese Astrology Bombay became Mumbai in 1995 the year 1995 adds upto to single number 6. The coming year ahead should be utilized in gathering data, information, making plans and socializing rather than making heavy investment. If Mumbai focuses on these aspects then it will be much beneficial.

As per my conclusion ‘Bombay’ was a much better name.

The Significance of Your Name

According to the “science” of Numerology, the name of an individual exerts an influence upon their character and potential (karma, or destiny). It is not the aim of this article to explain how the system works, but rather to invite the reader to examine the logic of such a contention.

The significance of a name

Have you ever assumed that someone, whom you have never met before, with a double barrel name, will be posh? Or, that a man called “John Smith” will be unexciting?  We all form impressions of a person on the basis of their name: it’s a fact.

Imagine if you had an outlandish name. You would probably either respond by becoming the victim of a weary, lifelong joke, or rise to the challenge by developing a personality to equal your name. Life would likely be miserable if your name was Adolph Hitler, yet you might be destined to become a celebrity with a name like Fifi Trixibell (daughter to Bob Geldof and Paula Yates).

Whatever your name, you are likely to be known by several variations, each one representing a differ aspect of your nature.

People we meet in an official, and emotionally detached situation will possibly know us only by our title and surname. Those who know us in a more casual social context might only know our first name. Individuals who know us intimately may refer to us by a “pet” name, chosen specifically to reflect our character or relationship with them. Our close friends may similarly refer to us by a different “nick-name”. In other words, in these varied relationships, the other person knows something different about us, and will have an altered perception of our personality, status and potential.

What about circumstances in which people change their names? When a child is adopted, their surname changes, hopefully along with their self-esteem, security and potential (assuming that adoption is usually beneficial to the child). When a woman marries, her fate changes – “for better of for worse” – and she will become differently perceived. Divorcees may revert to their maiden name, often in an effort to move forward to new possibilities. Others use Deed Poll to take a new name, because they feel this will somehow be a benefit to them.

The significance of numbers

The Numerological process converts a name to a number by assigning a specific value (from 1 to 8) to each letter of the name, and sums those numbers according to a few simple rules. The second hurdle to overcome, when making a judgment on the possible validity of Numerology, is therefore reflection upon the significance of numbers.

Our entire understanding of the world we inhabit is based on mathematics (plus non-scientific spiritual perceptions of course). Scientific theories and hypothesise are all underpinned by measurements, equations and calculations. Much of what we experience on a day-to-day basis, in this digital age, is the product of numbers.

You don’t need to know why a mobile ‘phone works in order to recognise that it does work, and it isn’t too difficult to acknowledge that converting a bunch of letters to numbers could reveal a hidden secret, given our mathematical universe.

So does Numerology work?

Many authors provide example analyses of famous people to illustrate the accuracy of Numerology. Rather than jump on this bandwagon, I will share one of my experiences.

Some years ago I worked in an office comprising about 80 people. The name of every person was analysed for fun. The results were very surprising. The managers’ names all produced interpretations appropriate to their status (they would be successful, attain specific skills or attributes, etc). The vast majority of the administrative staff were of a type: long serving, and more interested in doing a job than having a career. Almost all, despite little similarity in their names, shared the same analysis – along the lines of little material gain or advancement. Sadly, the few “rising stars” (those who were working toward promotions) shared the same fate. Briefly, their destiny was either failure, or achievement of their ambitions at a high price. The outcomes were not disclosed to the individuals, and so far as I know, the latter group are still trying to get to the next rung of the ladder.

So does Numerology work? It’s up to you to decide. My aim is merely to encourage you to try it for yourself.

Astrological forecasting is immensely popular, but in its generic form, it caters for 12 characters and fates. Numerology recognises 52 broad types. I find it easier to accept the possibility that our name determines whom we are more than the “month” of our birth*, that general character and destiny options are more numerous than 12, and it is within our gift to modify our fate though a change of name. (NB: Numerology also uses the date of birth to calculate character types and destinies, but that’s a story for another time.)

Prudence dictates a final word of advice. Numerology is not going to give you messages of doom and gloom. It will flag-up warnings, which may allow you to slightly alter the course of your life to avoid disappointment or conflict. In the case of my “rising stars”, they both have otherwise happy and full lives. The analysis simply warned that the career path was not their route to joyful achievement.

Understanding Your Personal Year

There are a descending series of numerological cycles that affect your life. Some of them will be in play for decades at a time. Others will only affect your life for a matter of days, or even a single day. Of all of them, the one cycle that you’ll feel the most blatantly is your Personal Year cycle.

In numerology, each year of your life is part of a nine-year cycle that evolves through specific steps. The cycles begin at your birth, progress through the nine year pattern, complete the cycle and begin again. Each nine year cycle begins with a 1 Personal Year and progresses year by year through the numbers until you complete a 9 Personal Year. Each year in the cycle is characterized by the opportunities offered you and by the lessons that you can learn during that particular part of the cycle.

Each year in the cycle has a tone that is influenced by number of the Personal Year. Thus, a 1 Personal Year will have the qualities associated with the number 1 – beginnings, creating and solidifying identity, working on the self, and so on. A 5 Personal Year will involve immersion in all things sensual in some way or another, and so on for each of the years.

How to Find Your Personal Year

Finding your Personal Year for any given year is a simple calculation. You simply add the numerical month and date of your birth to the Universal Year number for the year you want to identify.

Ex: If your birthday is January 27, and you want to know your Personal Year number for 2006, you would add:

(Month – 01) + (Date: – 27 – 2 + 7 = 9) + (Universal Year: 2 + 0 + 0 + 6 = 8)

1 + 9 + 8 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9

The year 2006 is a 9 Personal Year for a person whose birthday is January 27.

Interpreting Your Personal Year

Of course, knowing your Personal Year doesn’t do you much good if you don’t know what each year means. While there are many other influences at play throughout the year, including Personal Month Numbers and Personal Day Numbers, your Personal Year number will give you a general feel for what is going on in your life during the year.

A note about your birthday: Many numerologists will tell you that your Personal Year begins on your birthday each year. The Personal Year is influenced by the Universal Year, so your Personal Year will be in effect throughout the calendar year. However, its influence will be more strongly felt in the months closest to your birthday month, while the preceding and succeeding years’ influences will also be felt in the months before and after your birthday.

***************************************************************

1 Personal Year
New beginnings, new ideas, increased vitality

A 1 personal year brings new beginnings and new ideas. It is a time to launch new projects, conceive new businesses, embark on new relationships. You may find that things that have been important in the last decade or so lose their importance now as new ideas take their place.

In a 1 personal year, you are setting the stage for the next nine years of your life. This is not a time to sit back and wait for things to happen. You will have the opportunity to start making things happen. The things that you do and dream this year contain the seeds for the plants that will grow over the next nine years. A personal 1 year also often brings increased physical vitality

2 Personal Year
Cooperation, Continuation, Nurturing, Development

A 2 personal year can be frustrating after the intense energy and excitement of a 1 year. This is the year that seeds start to grow – the projects and relationships you’ve begun require nurturing and patience. This is a year to keep plugging away, slowly and steadily, while you continue to build on your dreams.

In a 2 personal year, the focus may be on relationships of all kinds as well. It’s not uncommon for new relationships to start and old ones to end during this personal year.

3 Personal Year
Expansion, Successes, Blossoming

In a 3 year, you’ll begin to see the fruits of your labor. The 3 year is a social year full of excitement and creativity. You may find yourself involved in a whirl of activities, social, business and romantic. Your enthusiasm is contagious this year, and others will be drawn to you by it. Successes seem to fall into your lap in every area of your life, and opportunities to expand your circles will abound. The biggest issue you may face in a 3 personal year is an overabundance of opportunities. Keeping your focus may be difficult when there is so much to choose from.

The 3 personal year many times can result in a person feeling as though they are having to deal with everyone else’s problems, yet are feeling as though they have little time to focus on their own. It’s important that the focus go toward the self first, and then if energy and time is left over to bring the attention to others.

4 Personal Year
Foundation, Maintenance, Responsibility

4 is the number of the Square, the four-sided figure that provides a strong foundation for building. A 4 year may seem dull and restrictive, but it’s the time when you are cementing your foundations and solidifying everything you’ve accomplished in the past three years. This is the year that you will become aware of the responsibilities and work required to maintain the momentum needed to build your dreams. A 4 year is an ideal year to take a close look at your finances and physical needs and do what you have to ensure that your needs are met.

5 Personal Year
Independence, Freedom, Personal Rewards, Change

The 5 is the most sensual and creative of all numbers. It is also the most self-indulgent. A 5 year offers rewards that grow from your efforts of the past four years – or deviate wildly from them. Opportunities for travel, enrichment and excitement will often come your way in a 5 personal year. This is a great year to launch yourself from last year’s foundation. If you built a solid foundation in the past year, you’ll find that this year brings rich rewards.

If, however, a solid foundation was not built you may find yourself unintentionally swept away in the chaos of sudden and/or unexpected change and you may have little to no control over it. Thus, the hard work of the four year is extremely important to ensure that the five year is a year of joy, fun, and pleasure.

6 Personal Year
Love, Family, Responsibility, and Home

Romance, family and friends take on a great deal of importance in a 6 year. You’ll find the focus on domestic matters, and love interests are often highlighted during a 6 years. This is the year that many people meet their soul mate (or life mate), and friends that you make during a 6 year will often be friends for life.

This is also a year where responsibility comes into focus. You may pick up new responsibilities or you may find yourself completing and letting go of old ones. Chances are both will be occurring in some form or another.

7 Personal Year
Reflection, Spirituality and Self-analysis

During a 7 year, the focus often turns to the inside. Self-reflection and refinement grow in importance. Many people find themselves questioning the purpose of their lives, and turning toward spirituality. A 7 year is a good time to spend time alone, getting in touch with what really matters and how to accomplish it.

8 Personal Year
Health, Wealth and Attraction

The 8 is a double 4, and in an 8 year you could feel a bit stodgy and bound by responsibility. On the other hand, you’ll also often find that your foundation and building of the past seven years has borne an abundance of fruit and it is easy to attract all the things that you want. After the personal reflection of last year, however, you may be starting to feel as if it just isn’t enough. As the 8 year continues, you may find yourself feeling restless and ready to move on to something new.

Be careful of conflict during this year, as power struggles are not only possible, but very likely. It’s important, this year, to learn when to “fight” and when to “just let it go.” These decisions will largely impact if and when you end up reaping the previously mentioned rewards.

9 Personal Year
Completion, Resolution, End of an Era

The 9 personal year brings you to the end of a personal cycle and invites you to take stock of where you are and where you want to go. This is the year that you’ll be resolving many of the experiences and issues of the past in preparation for beginning the cycle anew. This can be an unsettling time, where you feel as if you’ve outgrown your life, but haven’t quite released your responsibilities and ties to the past yet.

Interesting stuff eh?

It’s funny, but numerology is one of those things in our field that EVERYONE could stand to know a bit about.

When a psychic asks you for your birth information, 8 times out of 10 they are requesting it for numerology reasons and not astrology reasons.

Numerology also makes a great first symbol system and can be used in conjunction with astrology, kabbalah, tarot, and most other new age/metaphysical disciplines.

Thanks for reading and, as the Rosicrucian’s would say, “best wishes for peace profound!”

You might have heard the expression, “2009 is your year to shine!” Please, let that be true every year! Yet there is truth in that statement. The Universal energies are revved up at the moment to help bring your evolution to new heights. This is a highly charged time to help you create the life of your dreams, and more importantly, fulfill your higher purpose. As you radiate your inner light, you act as a beacon of hope and inspiration for others, and truly make the world a more beautiful place.

2009 is a Universal year of 11. (We derive this by adding the numbers 2+0+0+9=11). 11 an extremely powerful number; in numerology, it is considered a master number. As the name implies, master numbers require skill and dexterity as they present great challenges and subsequently, immense rewards.

It is evident what many of the challenges are at the moment; we are all aware of the crumbling global economy and the energy crisis that threatens our standard of living. And yet, these crises initiate an immense opportunity for us to change our collective future in ways that galvanize our innate healing and creative powers.

Every crisis, whether personal or universal, is a message from our soul to seek a new restorative path. Our current global economic collapse reveals a necessity for us to build healthier more efficient businesses based on the principles of integrity and service. Our pending energy deficit is a directive for us all, at long last, to end the cycle of depleting and polluting our earth’s resources in favor of harnessing the unlimited power of nature in a clean and regenerative way. There can never truly be a shortage of energy; it is all around us. As long as the sun is shining, the winds are blowing, and the waters are flowing, we have an unlimited supply of vital life-giving energy. You too have an unlimited supply of infinite creative Source energy that you can tap into at any time to invigorate your life.

We are fortunate now to experience the powerful vibration of 11. The highly charged 11 is considered the number of intuition and illumination. In fact, the word LIGHT reduces to the number 11. The 11 vibration emphasizes the need for you to rely on your inner light, to align yourself with Spirit to find your true calling, and illuminate your path from within. Should you choose to place your faith in the external material world for your security, you might experience confusion or fear. However, if you choose to listen to that voice inside of yourself that believes in the goodness within and around you, and trust your unique calling, you will always find your way.

You might hear people refer to 11 as being a number of the number of wishes. Perhaps you have an awareness that seeing 11:11 signifies something magical. Your thoughts are indeed more potent during this mystical alignment. The shape of the 1 is like an antenna, creating a conduit between you and the Divine. In the Tree of Life, the number 1 is at the top of the tree, at our crown where we receive our inspiration, as well at the bottom of the tree, where the divine becomes manifest into being. 1 is the Alpha and the Omega. The sacred geometry of the number 1 allows you to receive inspiration from Spirit and materialize those visions into reality very quickly. It is electric!

The double 1s in the number 11 create something even more profound. Look closely at the shape of number 11; the double columns of the creative 1 energy represent the pillars of the soul – a portal into a higher realm. Should you have the courage to walk through those pillars into the unknown, amazing opportunities await you!

So how do you do this? How do you face the unknown without fear? One thing to remember is that you came into the world with an intention. Not one person on this planet can offer your unique brand of humor, wisdom, creativity, kindness, healing or love. If you chose to incarnate at this time it is because you had something you wanted to learn and contribute. Any gift inside of you was given to you by the same infinitely powerful Creative forces that will help you bring these gifts into being. If you were given a dream, you were also given the tools, power, strength, and support to fulfill your heart’s desire. All of the forces in the Universe will help you manifest your purpose.

The genius of your creation resides inside you like a seed that is planted deep within the earth. A seed innately knows the correctness of its purpose while it unabashedly reaches towards the sun. It needs only careful tending to reveal its true magnificence. Your spirit is like a flower that needs proper nourishment to grow and thrive. Just like a flower, when you express yourself in all of your beauty, all who experience you will bask in the joy of your being.

You might want to reflect on what seeds you are cultivating in your life right now. Are you nourishing seeds of joy, hope, serenity, love, and compassion? Are you honoring your spirit by living passionately and expressing your truth? Or are you focusing on what is not working in your life now and what you are afraid of?

Your passions will inevitably lead you to your purpose, and joy will guide you towards your calling. You know you are on the correct course when you are passionately engaging in your journey, flowing with the natural rhythm of your life. During these moments all of your cells will wake up and say “Yes! This is it! Keep going!” It is like being on a highway and seeing signs towards your desired destination. Spiritual energy is light. It actually feels light. When you feel joy within you, you radiate a positive loving energy and those around you cannot help but feel better in your presence. And truly, your ultimate calling is to be joyful and share that joy with others.

Consequently, when you feel heaviness, confusion, or fear, that’s your body’s way of telling you that you are not in alignment with Spirit. Material concerns, while very real, can often distract you from your soul’s truth. Feelings of worry, regret, comparison, can all seem very rational and logical, yet can take you out of your awareness of the now.  The energy of the future is being created by the energy that you are cultivating in the moment. So while you are engaging in worry about your future, or regrets of the past, you are merely perpetuating a continuous cycle of worry. Rather, a series of simple and beautiful present moments will create a future of joy and serenity.

Now is a potent time to ask yourself – what do I really want to do with my life? If I wasn’t afraid of the consequences, or what people thought of me, or who I would be disappointing, what would I really do? Instead of asking your head for the answers, ask the wisdom of your heart. Take a moment to put your fears aside, relax with a deep breath, sink into the infinite lightness of your being, and ask your heart, what do I really want right now?

The answer could be something very simple. Perhaps you would like to have more time to yourself, garden, dance, or do yoga, or something more pronounced like starting your own business or moving to another part of the world. Anything that nourishes your spirit and feeds your soul will lead you towards your destiny. When you nurture your gifts, bringing them life, energy, and power, you are tending the growth of the great miracle of creation that is YOU.

I remind you in these tumultuous times, as the winds of change blow in your direction, that you need not be afraid of the dark. You have all that you need for your spiritual journey within you; your passions to energize you, your imagination to inspire you, and your intuition to guide you towards your destiny. You will inevitably meet other courageous dreamers along the way, who dare not dim their brilliance. Together, you will illuminate the path for many brave souls to shine brightly like stars in the sky, and the whole world will celebrate in a glorious festival of lights.
